Grief

Something I’ve heard from the clients I’ve seen is that grief is a universal feeling that close to all creatures share at some point in their life. Whether it be from an unexpected cause or it’s been expected for a long time, it doesn’t make it any easier to handle.

“Coming to terms” with a passing is different for everyone. For some, it’s not the idea that a physical person/thing is gone. It’s the idea that they’ll miss the things that person or object did for them, such as how rich their presence is or how kind they are.

Through understanding the stages of grief as well as understanding that grieving is a lifelong task, one can become more comfortable with the passing. No one can replace what’s been lost, but there are ways to make the passing of loved ones tolerable and allow one to enjoy life again.
